Why do so many people think Art School is easy? something that bothers me is when people bash others for pursuing a career in the arts. Art school unlike your average general college is very major specific from the start meaning from day one you know which direction it is you're headed; however, unlike many other general college students they don't completely seem to have a since of direction. I just feel as if all art students everywhere deserve respect for what they do because it isn't easy and you don't just draw all day like most people think. Being a student who has experienced both sides of the wall I can tell you that Art school is more challenging than general schooling is, whether if you are good at your artist craft or not. Most Art Schools have professors who grade their projects to industry standards and if they fall short their grades suffer tremendously. With that being said I feel that Art School shouldn't be bashed because just like us they are pursuing a degree and they literally break them selves down emotionally to rebuild themselves into what they are passionate about.
